This past weekend Lil's BFF from Brooklyn, Piper, came to visit us with her mom, Sarah.
We picked them up at the downtown bus stop. When they first got in the car, the girls were nervous around each other. It was awfully quiet in that back seat. We went to get sandwiches and eat them in a park that overlooks downtown (it was a beautiful, 60-degree day). And soon they were chasing each other and playing in the leaves.
And soon enough, they were hugging, holding hands, and squealing. Just like in the old days.
I'm so happy they came. Everyone needs old friends. Even when you're 3.
