Halloweenies

The week before Halloween, Lil decided she wanted to be a princess. [Cue the theme from Psycho.] Since last Halloween, she'd been saying that she wanted to be Tinky Winky. Then all of a sudden, boom. "I wanna be a princess because princesses are girls."

Luckily, we had a Tinkerbell costume in reserve (thanks Chris and Eileen!). She doesn't know who Tinkerbell is, so we called it a fairy princess costume and she was thrilled. You can't see the wings, wand, head band or fairy purse in the photos, but the total effect was impressive.

Teddy got to be Tinky Winky. Miraculously, it fit him perfectly, even though Lillian wore it up until last winter.

Teddy was a real trick or treating champ--he would march up to the door even if there was a throng of kids there and go pick out the exact candy he wanted. Lil was more reticent, surprise, surprise, but she still got a good stash and squeaked out a couple of thank yous.
