One week in

So far, so great on the school front. Lil goes to school happily--in fact, she ran up the steps on Friday. The only thing is her nutty outfits. Check this one out. (It is a photo taken by her teachers.) I call it "tiny gypsy".


It is a purple and green flowered dress, a turquoise tutu underneath, and miss-matched tights that are black yellow pink and green stripes on one leg and polka dots on the other leg. Oh, and then navy blue Crocs.

The day she wore this, however, I read this article in the NY Times about Iris Apfel, a 90-year-old style icon who says "if you don't dress like everyone else, you don't have to think like everyone else." And I thought, "That's Lillian" and, "Amen."
