It was actually a great visit in many ways--primarily in the quality time she got to spend with the kids, which was ridiculously cute.
Gommy was in Rhode Island for several weeks, primarily staying with a friend in East Greenwich. But she spent at least one night a week with us, and at the end she did a stint with us of nearly a week. She was a real champ, sleeping on an air mattress in a room that had lots of unpacked boxes in it.
And dealing with sticky little fingers who liked to rifle through her wallet and splay her credit cards all over the floor, which did NOT go over well.
She went with us to our usual haunts, which at this point pretty much solely consists of the farmer's market in the park...
With a requisite stop for ice cream after--which all generations love equally.
She was a real trooper. One thing you've got to give Gommy -- she's got staying power!
And as a super special bonus, Nonni came to visit too! Here she is reading to Teddy, who is turning in to a real book fiend.
Thanks so much for coming to visit us, ladies! Now that we have an actual guest bed, I'll bet/hope they'll be back soon.
