Teddy at 6 months

Hello, handsome!

Teddy has continued on his eating binge and at our pediatrician appt. last week, he weighed 18 pounds, 8 ounces and was 28 inches long, meaning he's gaining close to 2 pounds and growing an inch every month. (The 12-month-sized onesie he's wearing pretty much fits.) His hair is coming in and his feet are growing like crazy -- he's outgrown every sock we have for him.

He's sitting like a champ, and he likes to stand up (holding on to your hands) but he doesn't really have any interest in motion. Not much rolling to speak of and crawling doesn't seem imminent. No teeth yet. He is taking longer naps and starting to put himself to sleep for his naps. But he's still waking up once or twice during the night and is often up for good between 5:30 and 6:30. Ugh. Think we're going to have to officially sleep train him and let him cry when he wakes up in the night. We just can't take too much more crappy sleep. He was progressing pretty nicely, going to bed between 6:30 and 7 and only waking up once until 6:30 in the morning, but since he's started spending three days a week with Lil and Pansy, he's regressed a bit. One step forward, one step back, I reckon. But he seems to enjoy his time with them. Pansy said he was dancing in her lap when he went with them to music class last week, and he's really loving the swings at the playground.

He's still good-natured as all get out, and still eternally hungry. He eats everything we put in front of him -- pears, applesauce, peas, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, bananas, avocado. He tries to dive on the spoon, he wants it so badly. I haven't seen him turn his nose up at anything. I even decided to feed him a little bit of my oatmeal the other morning, all mashed up with some banana, but it didn't agree with him and he spent the rest of day burping and spitting up. It won't be long though before he's eating everything we eat.

I'm thinking this post is a little detail-oriented--thanks for giving me an outlet to indulge in a little mommy madness.
