We went camping with friends this past weekend. Two nights! Hike in! Very legitimate camping experience.
The kids carried their own backpacks in (a little over a half-mile, much of it uphill and all of it rocky and rooty). They each had their sleeping pad, a raincoat, and a lovie in there, plus whatever one toy they wanted to bring.
Scott carried considerably more. Look at that thing!
We're already talking about next year. :)
