Walking

Here she is taking a few steps in Central Park.


Lil's still pretty tentative about walking on her own. What she really wants is to hold on to someone's finger -- just one finger.

She's got all kinds of words now, which is incredibly fun: hi, bye, (hel)lo, apple, cheese, thank you, book, shoes, up, baby. My favorite though is when she gives you a kiss on the cheek and says "MWAH."

On the flip side, she's also starting to throw little fits when she doesn't want to do something. Mainly, getting her diaper changed and her fingernails clipped. You would think we were sticking her with pins. We have to sing the ABCs really loud and she will say "ay bee sssssssssss" in between her wails and eventually calm down. Hello, toddlerhood!
